disclaimer:
phone/internet counselling is not suitable for resolving immediate crises due to the unique challenges associated with trying to communicate over the phone/internet. poor phone/internet connections, time delays, time-zone issues, and the increased potential for miscommunication are examples of some of the limitations of providing a phone/internet counselling service. as such, your counsellor cannot be held responsible for helping you manage urgent and/or life-threatening crises over the phone/internet.
if you're experiencing an emotional crisis, are having feelings of intense distress, are feeling suicidal, are in an emergency situation, or have any other crisis during the course of your phone/internet counselling treatment, please call 911 or your local crisis centre immediately.
